18th century plain jelly glass

A fine example of an English plain jelly glass from the third quarter of the 18th century. The bowl is a flared conical shape with a pointed tear in the base. There is a vestigial plain stem set on a gently domed foot. Although this is a simple shaped glass it is aesthetically pleasing. Height 10 centimetres.
